Hrithik Roshan was born in the year 1974 to actor, producer and director, Rakesh Roshan and his wife, Pinky.
Hrithik Roshan did his schooling from Bombay Scottish School, Mumbai and has a degree in Economics & Commerce from Sydenham College, Mumbai.
He has one sister, Sunaina. On December 20, 2000, he married Suzanne Khan, daughter of actor Sanjay Khan. Hrithik and Suzanne Roshan have a baby boy, Hrehaan. In April 2008, his wife gave birth to a second baby boy whose Hridhaan. Hrithik Roshan did a role as a dancer in the movie, Aasha.
In 2000, Hrithik Roshan started his film career with the movie, Kaho Naa... Pyaar Hai. He won the Filmfare Awards for Best Actor and Best Debut.
In 2001, he delivered a memorable performance in Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham, along with the Big B and SRK. He was nominated for Filmfare Award as Best Supporting Actor.
In 2003, he gave his best performance in the film, Koi... Mil Gaya. Children and youngsters became his fans.
The actor has an extra thumb on his right hand. He has been known to be called the Indian Sylvester Stallone, Brad Pitt and Michael Jackson rolled into one.
In 2004, his most recent release was Dhoom 2 in which he played a negative role probably for the first time. Roshan's performance in the movie not only earned him widespread critical acclaim, but also his third Filmfare Best Actor Award.
Hrithik's latest film, Jodhaa Akbar, directed by Ashutosh Gowariker with Aishwarya Rai Bachchan playing the female lead, released in the first quarter of 2008. He also did an item song for Rakesh Roshan's production, Krazzy 4.
Hrithik's 2009 films include Luck By Chance and Jodhaa Akbar. He has won the Filmfare Award 2009 for Best Actor in a Leading Role for Jodhaa Akbar.
