Priyanka Chopra's parents are both doctors. Her father's name is Capt. Dr. Ashok Chopra and her mother's name is Dr Madhu Chopra. She also has brother named Siddharth.
Priyanka schooled at the Army School in Bareilly and later studied at Jai Hind College, Mumbai. She went to the USA to pursue her studies.
Priyanka was crowned Miss India World and later Miss World in 2000.
Her debuted in a Tamil flick, Thamizhan opposite actor Vijay.
Her first film in Bollywood was The Hero (2003) starring Sunny Deol which was followed by Andaaz opposite Akshay Kumar that earned her the Filmfare Award.
The actress was listed in the number one slot by UK magazine Eastern Eye as one of Asia's Sexiest Women in their issue dated September, 2006.
Priyanka delivered two hits in 2008 - Dostana and Fashion, and four flops - Love Story 2050, Drona, Chamku and God Tussi Great Ho. She won a Star Screen Award for her performance in Fashion, as well as the Filmfare Best Actress in a Leading Role for the same film in 2009.
