Om Shanti Om: Fun Republic (Andheri, Mumbai) 10 am show

10.10 am: The first show is a sellout. One can see the curious audience in huge groups to see the film. The so-called classes sitting in the expensive few rows go wild as the credits roll in true '70s-style. The movie however opens with a shayari, even before the credits.

The original Karz video has been used.

Farah and a young Rishi Kapoor share screen space through special effects.

Deepika makes a dazzling entry in the song Ajab Si... She is seen dancing with '70s superstars Rajesh Khanna and Jeetendra, again thanks to special effects.

Only a Bollywood buff can appreciate the humour in the film.

10.45 am: Lots of spoofs on the '70s films. Deepika has a striking screen presence with all her jhatkas in place.

As the story goes, SRK saves Deepika from a set fire a la Sunil Dutt saved Nargis in Mother India.

10.55 am: Talpade holds his own. Deepika's voice seems dubbed.

11.10 am: After an hour of filmy comedy the film takes a serious turn with Arjun Rampal's entry. Farah Khan repeats the Main Hoon Na 'hair action' even here. One problem, after so many spoofs even some of the real drama comes across as fake.

11.30 am: Liked by one and all. Interval point has raised a lot of curiosity for the second half about what SRK has to do in his second birth. People expect a lot more from SRK.

11.30 am: Audiences enjoying the second half more.

11.32 am: SRK's Dard-e-Disco, driving people mad.

11:33 am: Comedy got a mixed feedback but the tension and drama working well with the audience.

11.50 am: People are just loving the guest appearance in the film - from the Big B to Abhishek Bachchan. Akshay and Abhishek have public in splits. People are just loving the comedy post-interval.

11.59 am: The song Deewangi... has the crowds cheering for the 31 stars sharing the screen space together. It's a hit for sure.

12.10 pm: Govinda, Kajol, Salman and Saif seem to be the hot favourites, getting more attention and cheers than others, for their appearances in the song.

12.26 pm: Some are finding it a bit long and getting restless. Rampal and SRK confrontation being liked by the audience. Comedy getting better responses than the serious bits.

12.53 pm: People curious about the climax. No one ready to get up. People expecting more.

12.59 pm: Deepika's voice hasn't impressed people at all. There is a surprise twist in the climax which again is getting a mixed reaction. Deepika's ghost from her previous birth makes appearance!

1 pm: People enjoying the last music video.

1.03 pm: Gauri Khan's glam guest appearance gets whistles.

1.13 pm: Overall, the film is receiving mixed reactions. While kids and college goers enjoyed the film, older people and especially the women found the whole affair stupid. The film is a complete make believe fare with zero logic.
