Year-end Spl: Top 10 grossers at the BO
2008 might be remembered more for the big budget flops than hits. But there were some films which sent the producers laughing their way to the bank. Here's the list...
No 1 - Ghajini
Budget - Rs 45 crore
Total Gross – Rs 43 crore and growing
BO collections - It got a mind-boggling 98-100 per cent opening in 1100 screens across the nation. With this historic opening, it has broken Om Shanti Om's first-week record of Rs 40 crore in just four days by collecting Rs 43 crore. On day-one the film earned Rs 2.5 crore in the Mumbai circuit alone and went on to gross Rs 6.86 crore in four days. Ghajini also achieved new highs in every circuit apart from Delhi/UP (Delhi/NCR had second highest totals ever after Singh Is Kinng) and East Punjab. Some circuits like West Bengal, Nizam and Mysore have had smashing records.
Trade Speak – It is most likely to emerge as the biggest success of Bollywood in years if the momentum continues in the second week. It will easily overtake Rab Ne in a short time. Aamir finally deserves to be given the number one tag now!

Shahrukh is also a good actor but not a king of king's
Why do u srk fanatics don't just take it in that ghajini is
the biggest blockbuster in bollywood's history.. It was
surely much better than rab ne. And u cant really expect
much from srk either, he just gives these kinda silly
movies, whereas aamir is much more versatile nd dats why he
gives u movies like rdb, tzp and now ghajini.. So pl. Don't
try to pointlessly criticise aamir or ghajini...
Srk is the only natural and gifted actor we have at the
moment.No amir or any one could dare to reach him.Before we
had many talented actors at one time like dilip kumar,guru
dutt,rajesh khanna, dharmendra,raj kapoor,sunil dutt,raj
kumar,amitabh,and the jubilee actors rajendra kumar and
jeetendra.Rabne prove that srk powerful acting with anoushka
having kajol magic could turn any film to be blockbuster.Srk
is king of bollywood,king khan share no 1 with akki and this
time srk -anoushka deserves all awards including national
awards as they denied srk in chak de india and swades and
hope this time national award will wake up and be fair to
srk.Rabne is the best film of 2008 and adi best director and
roop kumar rathod deserve best singer award for tujme rab
dikhta hai.
Noteworthy aamir is going to rock every bit of moment in
bollywood in whatever srk might failed.So just chill guys
lets enjoy avery bit of masala by both of them.
Aamir should know dat just carrying 8 packs or fullish hair
style doesn't mean dat u r a good actor........By
hyping his 8 packs thru media what does he want to tell the
indian janta.. U shud concentrate on story first..
and if nyone talkin about rnbdj den he should understand
the acting of shakrukh which is natural not copy from ny
other movie....
dont compare aamir with shahrukh...
shahrukh is best .He has earned his position (no.1) by
himself
my suggetion for aamir is dat dont challenge shahrukh

Aamir promoted his movie like there is no other movie in
the world.He knew that it would be a flop that is y he
begged the people 2 watch the movie .And second he used srk
name again and again to promote his film
In my opinion,hrithik's role as akbar was the most difficult
in 2008 for any actor. He performed in the film with aplomb
and delivered his urdu dialogues with gusto. He slipped into
the role of the emperor with ease.He deserves the award for
best actor in 2008. Srk comes a close second despite
starring in a ordinary movie. Credit goes to srk for
delivering a sensitive and humorous performance as
sahni.Third would be aamir.It is surely not a great
performance in a good commercial masala caper.Aamir has
higher standards and i am sure all would agree with me.
Abhishek deserves a award for performance in a comic role
give the risk involved in the portrayal. Movie of the year
should be jodhaa akbar or ghajini. I suppose the former is
better cinematically even though the latter is a bigger hit.
Ghazini might have earned a lot of money but is not worth
it.It is full
of violence prolonged unnecessarily and there is no
story.If you are
very fond of seing body builders you can watch it.
Hey dudes, the main thing for a hero in the film is acting ,
not that much action and styles are required, and yash raj
banner was going flop and flop , chak de india and rnbdj
bring that banner to hope again, the figures written for
business are wrong at all because the business is not still
stopped , rnbdj is a evergreen film that u will see in
future
