Angelina's just a co-actor: Irrfan Khan

Irrfan Khan is from Jaipur, India. He was studying for his MA degree when he snagged a fellowship at (NSD) National School of Drama in 1984. After graduating in 1987, he moved to Mumbai. Theater and television kept him afloat till Mira Nair offered him a cameo in Salaam Bombay. But the role was edited out of the final copy.But things changed when Landon based director Asif Kapadia gave him the lead in The Warrior. An historical film completed in 11 weeks on the locals in Himachal Pradesh and Rajasthan.The film stormed in international film festivals making Irrfan Khan a noticed actor. His first Bollywood main lead role came in the movie Rog. Ever since, Irrfan never really had to look back. After receiving critical acclaim and commercial success in The Namesake and Life in a Metro, the actor has many big releases in 2008 including Sunday and Right Yaa Wrong. Irrfan: thank you very much...Sunday, Krazy 4, mumbai meri jaan these r complete...I am shooting for Right Yaa Wrong, Chamku and Slumdog millionaire.

Irrfan: Earlier I was depressed...but now i am happy with my life...you have to deal with what life has in store for you...but now the roles are good so life is good… I finally have time to go back home to Jaipur for kite festival.... normally when i go abroad i don't prepare much...but this festival is special.

[Prayagd] asks: how does it feel to be on first name terms with Angelina Jolie?
Irrfan: she is a great person...very intelligent, exciting… I have never seen such media euphoria for anyone else... when I was promoting mighty heart abroad; in every city there were loads of people waiting for her. It's a dream for people who think Jolie is a celebrity...for me she is a co actor.
