Ranvir: SRK should be envious of me

Ranvir Shorey is the kind of guy who doesn't care. It doesn't matter to him what someone else says to him or about him.

In fact it's quite funny actually to see him snap at a journalist over the phone, hilarious almost as he replies to one question (presumably about Mallika Sherawat), "She took care of me. In fact right now I am feeling such a strong pang of affection that I almost want to call her up right now!"

Then the same journalist is at the receiving end of another curt statement: "I don't talk about my personal life. Next question!"

And finally this one gem before he finishes the telephonic interview and turns to us: "With a 'b' in my first name and a completely different second name I could well be Ranbir Kapoor!"

Excerpts from an interview, where Ranvir gets catty, serious and at times clichéd:

With three releases in such short period, if you were Shah Rukh Khan or Akshay Kumar, you'd probably go all out to change the release dates, wouldn't you?

Yeah! But I am not Shah Rukh Khan. Neither am I Akshay Kumar. From where I come, these things don't really matter. Besides I have three completely different roles in each of these films. In Good Luck I have a cameo appearance. Singh is Kinng is entirely Akshay Kumar's movie; I just play a supporting role. Ugly Aur Pagli, now that's where I play a solo lead. So right now I am just happy. And I am quite smug about it. [MUST WATCH: Mallika whips Ranvir into shape]

That puts you in a rather envious position doesn't it?

I would think so... Shah Rukh Khan and Akshay Kumar should probably be envious of me. (Laughs)
