Abhishek: 'Rahul is playing the game intelligently'

It was truly a big morning at the Bigg Boss 2 house. Over the past few weeks, like most other reality shows, Bigg Boss 2 has also become a platform to promote films. But this Friday was the biggest of them all, as none other than Abhishek Bachchan arrived on the sets of the show to promote his next release Drona.

Bachchan arrived dot on time at 10 am IST. Dressed in blue jeans and a white shirt, a visibly leaner looking AB Jr (see the promos of Dostana to check out the excess flab that he had put on) came in with his Drona director Goldie Behl in a white BMW. On arriving, he rushed to his van to get an idea of the show's flow.

After his make-up was done, Bachchan Jr stepped out to chat around with the channel executives. He was his jovial self, cracking jokes with everyone from the security staff to the production heads. And between jokes found time to talk to Bachchan Sr and also took calls to discuss marketing plans for his film. On finding out about his guest appearance on a serial about child marriage on Colors, Abhishek joked that he was the ideal choice, as he too was still a kid who had only grown in size.

In receiving his cue, Bachchan entered the studio for his shoot with anchor Shilpa Shetty. He saw glimpses of the Bigg Boss 2 episodes where the housemates were given the task of behaving like the film's character Drona. Expectedly it was Raja and Rahul who engaged in a hilarious good vs evil war.

On wrapping up the first half of his shoot, it was revealed that Abhishek Bachchan would actually go inside the super secretive BB2 house and spend a good 20 minutes. Amidst more than a dozen production assistants and security staff, Bachchan entered the house. Inside, he got a chance to interact with the housemates and also distributed Drona merchandise.

Next, it was time to give sound bites to the media. Bachchan revealed that he did follow the show and felt Rahul stood a good chance of winning. "I know Rahul and find him extremely entertaining on the show. I think he is playing the game intelligently," Bachchan said.

About promoting his films, Abhishek said Drona was not a superhero film while Dostana was also not a gay film. Wishing that both films should do well, Abhishek said if families didn't approve of the content on Bigg Boss 2 they had the power of the remote. He further said he found the entire concept of being locked inside a house with the same people minus any contact with the outside world very intimidating. He added he was really moved by the warm welcome he got from the housemates.

Finally, it was time for Abhishke Bachchan's exit and the unit was back to their normal task of the post production of the show. We don't know if Drona will capture the box-office but the real Drona surely weaved magic on his day at the Bigg Boss 2 house!
