It's Bips versus Deepika

In any film where there's more than a single actress, chances are that there will be a cat-fight sooner or later. The latest to join this bandwagon are Bipasha Basu and Deepika Padukone.

According to a Mumbai Mirror, the two lovely ladies were all geared up to accompany the only man between them, Ranbir Kapoor for a television show as a part of the promotion for their film Bachna Ae Haseeno, where the problem started. Bipasha Basu after reaching the sets of the show, learned that Deepika Padukone was to make an entry with Ranbir. But Bipasha being the leading actress would have none of that. She wouldn't budge without making an entry with Ranbir. This however did infuriate Ranbir's real life love Deepika.

A source from the sets said, "The show was stalled with Ranbir and Deepika refusing to get out of their vanity vans. Deepika then asked Ranbir to speak to Bipasha, but he wouldn't, reasoning that she is a senior actress."

"In the end though Bipasha had her way and entered with Ranbir as she had wished. But this did anger Deepika and she was sulking throughout the show. She even snapped at one of the contestants leaving him visibly unhappy," added the source.

When contacted, Monica Bhattacharya, the official spokesperson for the show explained, "Since Bipasha was unable to attend a couple of promotional events that we had done earlier, it was a deliberate decision on our part to focus on Bipasha. We had planned their entry in such a way that it would be Bipasha and not Deepika, who accompanies Ranbir."

Bipasha Basu, when asked, however rubbished any such misunderstanding between her and Deepika saying, "This is totally ridiculous. We are promoting our film together."
