RGV's crocodile scare in Lanka
Ram Gopal Varma did not expect the budget of Agyaat to be very high. His idea was to shoot with an entirely unknown crew in the dense jungles of Sri Lanka. In this way he would save on a lot of the resources. However within three days of shooting everything changed. The unit members heard a rustling sound and they were shocked to see it was due to a huge float of crocodiles swimming towards them.
Says a source, "It was the scariest thing. We were shooting a sequence of people dying and the next thing we saw was all these crocodiles charging towards us. Thankfully we had a barbed fence just 500 metres away to protect us."
Ram Gopal Varma confirms, "After that incident, we always had more than 15 forest rangers protecting us from all sides and looking out for wild animals. We actually had more security than we do in Mumbai, just to protect us from the unknown."
Agyaat is a horror flick inspired from the Hollywood classic, The Blair Witch Project.
