Satish Kaushik refuses to laugh
Satish Kaushik, who is best known for his comic stints, will now be seen in a different avatar. The actor-director will now make a serious film inspired from real life.
Kaushik is in the process of roping in a big star to play the lead in the film. He says, "The movie has been tentatively titled Mujhe Zinda Karo. Times of India Group will be foraying into production with this film. Mujhe Zinda Karo will be co-produced by Karol Bagh Films (Anupam Kher and Satish Kaushik's production company)."
Talking about his Muse, Kaushik reveals, "This film has been inspired by a real life incident that took place in Uttar Pradesh. It so happened that a man returned to his place alive after he was officially declared dead. Lal Bihari had to fight to prove his identity to get back his property. The case was featured on the cover of Time Magazine."
Kaushik further adds, "I did lot of research. There have been many cases where people who are alive have been declared dead on papers by authorities. We have signed an exclusive deal with UTV. Our company will make four movies every year for UTV. Anupam will direct one, the other one will be mine and rest will be directed by other directors. Two projects have been decided upon so far. While one is titled Hawai Dada, the second one is called Dosti Badi Cheez Hai. UTV will co-produce, market and distribute the films, while Karol Bagh Films will focus on creative development and line production."
