SHOCKING: SRK ignores Shirish
For the otherwise politically correct Shah Rukh Khan, this one action comes as a shocker. At the music release of Om Shanti Om, the superstar made sure to call everyone involved with the film. But for some strange reason the film's editor Shirish Kunder's name was never called out. This comes at a time when rumours of a split between Shirish and Shah Rukh are heating up.
It is common knowledge that Shirish had approached Shah Rukh to produce his next film Joker. The idea of this supposedly lavish superhero movie was considered rather naïve by many, especially after the debacle of Shirish's earlier venture – Jaan-E-Mann. Yet Shah Rukh seemed keen to invest money. However, Shirish kept submitting draft after draft of his script. And Khan kept suggesting changes. Things came to a head and that's when they decided to part ways.
Reports of the alleged rift have been doing the rounds for quite some time now. But it seems like the two have now reached a point of no return. One may never know the real reason behind Shirish's exclusion during the music launch. But it certainly was surprising that Shah Rukh should invite everyone and leave out Shirish.
It isn't however that the young editor-turned-director was not present at the event. He walked in and was even seated in one of the first few rows. But for some strange reason he never made it to the dais. And Shirish wasn't spotted even after the main event was over.
