Remember Amitabh's role as Anthony Gonsalves in Amar Akbar Anthony? Well, this year's Anthony Gonsalves has nothing in common with him except the name. Directed by E Niwas, the movie stars Amrita Rao opposite newcomer Nikhil Dwivedi. The film releases on January 11.

The film introduces Nikhil in the role of Anthony Gonsalves. He plays the title character, who dreams of hitting it big one day. He is a bartender who aspires to become a superstar some day.

The movie is about Anthony's strife and struggle to achieve his dreams. Unfortunately one day, Anthony is witness to a brutal crime and is forced to fight for his life. Along the way, he meets and falls in love with Amrita (Ria in movie). She is an assistant director in a movie who works with a well-acclaimed lady director.

Amrita is $uperb i the film and i luv her

The new boy on the dice is quite impressive in looks but his
prowess in acting will only disclose after the release of
the movie. I would certainly watch the movie because its
success is promising and will certainly wait for a contest
on buzz18 to win tickets to watch this comedy flick.
