The Disco Dancer is back and how!
Mithun Chakraborty the Disco Dancer is all set to set the dance floor on fire once again. The actor will be seen dancing after seven years in director Ujjwal Singh's Chal Chalen to the music of South Indian composer Illayaraja's tunes.
Mithun plays a lawyer in the film and is seemingly very excited about hitting the dance floor again. "I am looking forward to this song. The producers have specially flown a top choreographer from the South for this particular song. I have been dancing in Bengali films though", said the actor excitedly.
"I was very impressed by the script. It is based on a real incident. 16 students committed suicide in one day because of academic pressure and the fear of exams. I wanted to do this film because of the social cause attached to it. I know all parents want their children to be the best but they don't know what pressure they put on their children", he continued explaining the plot and social significance of the movie.
This film will also mark the comeback of yesteryear superstar Manoj Kumar. He plays the role of a judge with Rati Agnihotri playing the role of a public prosecutor.
The film is about a group of friends preparing for their exams. On the first day of the exams one of them commits suicide. Enraged by the situation, the friends decide to file a case against their dead friend's parents and the government. And it becomes a national issue overnight.
The movie is still under production. So we all have to just wait. If not for the movie, at least for Mithunda's dance number.
