REVIEW: Kismat kinda Konnects!
Okay here's the deal – if your girlfriend swears by cheesy romantic films, take her to Kismat Konnection this weekend.
Now, if it hasn't been emphatic enough, here we go one more time – TAKE HER TO THIS FILM.
And just after the movie is over, look into her eyes and pop the question: "Can we watch The Dark Knight now?" Believe me, there are good chances she'll let you.
Having said that, Shahid Kapoor and Vidya Balan's latest flick Kismat Konnection works at some levels. Loosely based on Just My Luck and even more loosely based on Two Weeks' Notice, the film is one of those 'family movies' that may just 'connect' at the box office.
The story
Raj Malhotra (Shahid Kapoor) is a bright young architect who never seems to have Lady Luck by his side. He gets so desperate that he decides to visit a mumbo-jumbo lady (Juhi Chawla who totally rocks) to change his fortunes. She predicts that a lucky charm will soon come his way and change things for good. And sure enough she does.
Priya (Vidya Balan) is a charming young lady who is fighting for the survival of a community centre to be taken over by a real estate company. Raj promises to help save the centre in return of her presence at all their meetings. He manages to clinch the deal but doesn't reveal his real motives to her till the very end. Shahid Shah Rukh Kapoor
From the very beginning, Shahid Kapoor has been compared with Shah Rukh Khan. While in most of his movies he's managed to stand his own, it is in this one that he falls prey to the comparison. His body language in many scenes seems to remind one of the younger Shah Rukh Khan.

Loved loved it. Aziz mirza's lovely stories ... How i miss
them.
shahid kapoor is too good in the movie, he keeps you glued
to your seat. His emotional scenes want you to reach out to
him, his adorable romantic scenes want you to pinch his
cheeks and his superb looks makes you want to be a teenager
again, he is getting better and better every day. If as adi
kashyap, he was the mature responsible lover ever girl
wants, in kk he is the sweet, cheeky, ambitious boy that you
can so relate to. Vidya did a great job and was perfectly
cast in the role and they were nice together. Every actor in
the movie did a great job to make it a sweet, simple and
lovely experience.
lovely movie, sad to see so many critics trashing a simple
story beautifully told.
Perhaps, every have to just believe one thing and i.E. Good
idea needs good luck... This is all about real life and you
have to believe this... This movie kismat konnection is a
feel good movie and remind you every moment you spend to
achieve something.
yes i endorse shahid for his best performance after
"jab we met" and i truely believe he is going to
be next srk. I am sorry shahid i am not comparing you with
srk.
wishing you all good luck.
I really enjoyed it, i don't understand why people have to
tear a nice simple story apart ... Its not path breaking
cinema but its a very nice watch. No vulgarity or raunchy
numbers makes it even more special (i will ignore the dance
tracks as they are meant for indian discos these days so i
guess they could not be avoided). Everyone played their
parts well and shahid was just super awesome. Himani
shivpuri, vidya and all supporting cast was good. I will go
and watch it again just to relax and feel good and come out
free of stress and with a smile of my face.
the only complaint i have is that it should have been more
compact.
Phaltto,boring and pakau
I love shahid,kismat rocks
Cliched okay but cheesy..C'mon.. Thought the mirror scene
was rather cute... Come off it! Give d lead pair some
credit.. I think they looked quite nice after all... As for
the movie- wouldnt say its a "must watch" but i
suggest you do watch it any way... Its a lighthearted
movie...Will make u smile :)
Shahid rox inal ways
he is the best
I like your idea
The rview is stupid. The comment about rape is
objectionable. Why dosent abhishek give this same advice to
his mother or sister?
