REVIEW: Mithya is a tragicomedy
It is this theme of fractured identity that runs as a common thread throughout the film and binds the various characters and subplots together.
Great performances
For a refreshing change, this film brings together some of the finest actors in the country today – Saurabh, Naseer, Ranvir, Vinay. Harsh Chhaya has always been an actor who has been totally wasted on the small screen. In this film Harsh gets enough screen time to prove his worth and uses it well.
After a long time, one gets to see the talented Iravati Harshe – who delivers a great performance – on screen. Neha Dhupia though stands out as a sore thumb amidst these brilliant actors.

Verdict
Mithya is certainly not a mainstream masala movie. But somewhere along the way, it incorporates elements of the mainstream Hindi cinema and blends it quite well into this 'experimental' genre. With no big film releasing this week (unless one considers Super Star as one simply because of its name) chances are that Mithya will do quite well. With a storyline that will strike a cord with most urban audiences, Mithya may just be the film you want to watch.
