REVIEW: Mukhbiir is poor
What works
Om Puri doesn't have an extraordinary role, but his presence is what keeps Mukhbiir alive. He is at all times more in control than the lead actor.
Alok Nath, seen after a long time on the big screen is not bad at all. Raj Zutshi's character Bijju is very likeable, especially in the scene where he tells Kailash how smoking hash together brings friends closer.
What does not work
I don't know what Raima Sen is doing in the film, and I don't think the director knows, either. She is very pretty but has a role which goes nowhere.
Mercifully, there aren't too many songs but the silly, pseudo-philosophical lines spoken in a deep voice every time there is a close-up of Sammir Dattani compensate for it.
The only actors who shine through this fiasco are Om Puri and Raj Zutshi.
VERDICT
It seems the creators of Mukhbiir realised the plot what going nowhere, but decided to go ahead with it anyways since films on terrorism have had their loyals. But despite good direction and superb editing (took me back to the time when RGV was king, really), Mukhbiir is the kind of flick that could've have fared much better had the director held the reins tight enough.

The story gives a true insights into the life of a mukhbiir,
an informer..
a very true to life story that will go down with some and
not with some but a recommended watch for all movie goers..
i feel the film requires a better rating than what has
been rated by this writer (who by the way has not even proof
read his own article for spelling errors in a world of high
tech gizmo's)
rating - 3.5 stars out of 5
the title too is very harsh for the article since every
one has a right to their own opinion and it is not good to
cloud the minds of readers with such harsh words and
opinions about a film.
Poor story line!!
Poor story line!!
With bomb blasts happening in cities - most film makers try
to tell their own story of terror - some work some doesn't
