Bhool Bhulaiyaa sounds like a hit
As Priyadarshan's films get bigger and glossier, the director is paying more attention to the soundtrack of his films. I mean, does anyone remember even a single song from Hera Pheri? But songs from his recent flicks like Garam Masala and Bhagam Bhag remain eternal club favourites.
Priyan, Akshay Kumar and Paresh Rawal now unite for one of this year's most hyped comedies, Bhool Bhulaiyaa. Pritam scores a perfect 10 with the title track, a potential chartbuster right from the word go. Sung by Neeraj Sridhar of Bombay Vikings fame, the lavishly picturised song has an extremely catchy tune and will only add to Akshay's ever increasing list of hit numbers. You just can't resist grooving to the hooks of Hare Krishna Hare Ram.
After the foot-tapping title track, the mood changes with the soulful melody Labon Ko. One can easily mistake it for a Pakistani number (a la Woh Lamhe) from any of the Bhatt banner films. KK even ends up sounding like Atif in some instances and you can almost visualise Emraan Hashmi crooning this song. But it is in no way a negative to the album, and overall Pritam does a fine job with this song.

KK returns to his normal voice with Sajda, which has strong beats and a loud chorus. Not a path-breaking song by any standards… But you won't reach for the fast forward button either. But the track should work better on screen.
