MUSIC REVIEW: All The Best
From Golmaal through Sunday to Golmaal Returns, Rohit Shetty's films have had consistently rocking music. All The Best is his most lavish effort till date. And a good soundtrack will only enhance the movie's chances at the box office.
But this is unlike any other recent Pritam album.
All The Best opens with Dil Kare. The song has a Rock On mood all over it. Energetic singing, guitar, drums and even the coming of age lyrics…this could have very well been a Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy song. Dil Kare is foot tapping and fun while it lasts. Dil Kare further impresses with it's rocking remix.
The rock feel continues with All The Best. A fun filled title track with some catchy hooks, Pritam creates a carnival like atmosphere in the song. You Are My Love has lots of singers complementing each other. It's a fast paced song, much on the lines of Main Hoon Naa's end credits number.
Pritam revisits his Life In A Metro sound in Kyon. The O Meri Jaan influence is apparent all through the song. Kyon however makes for a great listen thanks to some wonderful composition and singing.
And now come to the best song of the album. Kay Kay's Martaba is an intensely romantic number - minus any Rock On influences. Slow yet far from dull, Martaba grows on you with every listen. And the remix gives an all-together different spin to the song.
Pritam has ditched his Punjabi influences for a more rock and roll sound in the album. But the tunes lack a sing along feel to them. There is certain sameness to the songs.
Verdict:
Rating: 2.5

Preview - all the best
fun, masti, dhamaal, golmaal, whacky goof ups, all this
returns with peppy music, fresh young look, great yet never
before seen stunts, bright colourful back drops of the
latino-goan carnival, super hunks viz. Sanjay dutt, ajay
devgn (gun without a u / a), fardeen khan, bollywood hotties
bipasha basu and mugdha godse, dashing and experimenting
director hriday shetty and ajay’s own home production all
sum up to strike right chord at bo. All we can say is all
the best.
watch out for the misses too - the trailers already hit at
the multiplexes reveal that the dialogs miss the very much
needed timing and punch.

Yet another pointless, more specifically senseless review by
buzz18 team.
all the best contains some good enjoyable tune and a sure
shot chartbuster "main jitni martaba".I can't
comment about originality ofthe tunes when pritam is in
picture, but it contains a potential to be remembered.
