RGV's Aag can rock you!
Fans and fanatics of the original would have waited to watch and hear to what RGV’s Aag has done to the classic Mehbooba track. And that's why, in the album, Mehbooba is at number one. Must say Ganesh Hegde has done an interesting job with the touches: hip hop, reggae and a pleasant punch with the original riffs, without which the song would be incomplete. Sunidhi Chauhan and Sukhwinder Singh drive the number with Bachchan's menacing baritone adding to the overall effect. Interesting mix of old dialogues: Kabhie kabhie mere dil mein khayal aata hai…to Tera kya hoga Mehbooba, rendered by Bachchan are chilling and well mixed. Lyricist Shabbir Ahmed has done a clever job indeed.
The other tracks are incidental, with Amar Mohile, Prasanna Shekhar and Nitin Raikwar putting in their might behind the various numbers that range from the mildly interesting to the mundane, though the pop rock infleunce is pretty interesting, especially with some sharp guitar playing in tracks such as Dum. The choral Holi with various artists is catchy. What however stand out is the title track Hai ag Yeh, sung by Sunidhi Chauhan, music by Amar Mohile.
Verdict: Listen to it for Sunidhi and Mehbooba!
