Aishwarya has been performed well in tamil (iruvar, kandukondain, jeans), bengali (chokher bali), hindi (raincoat, guru, khakee, hddcs, ja, etc) and english (b&p and provoked) movies. Because someone is beautiful does not mean they cannot act. Do you know more about acting than acclaimed directors who all have worked with her?



btw, rani is a good actress but she got her success through the khans (srk, aamir, salman, saif) and big production houses (yrf and dharma). She has not experimented much and has lost her standing due to her mismanagement of her career.

Agree with you mimi. With their top 5 line-up it's clear where bollywood is heading.....Firmly back to the days when actresses were there just for the glamour quotient and to look good. I mean if ex-models and beauty queens (and they are all one or the other) can't look good, who can? Yes they all act. aishwarya had two critically and commercially sucessful movies - jodhaa akbar and sarkar raj. So at 2 out of 2 she is #1 for 2008. For 2009 she has mani ratnam with abhishek, shanker with rajnikanth, slb with hrithik and vishal shay with akshay. That sounds like a strong line-up to me.
