Post his impressive performance in Taare Zameen Par and several awards later, Darsheel Safary is demanding 75 lakh per film, or so I am told.

A top director was shocked to hear this price when he approached Darsheel. The director, who doesn't want to disclose his name, said, "I think he can't digest the success of Taare Zameen Par. I think his nomination for the best actor award is another reason. Who will give him 75 lakh? Can he give another TZP? That is impossible. Now, it's become a fashion in Bollywood – give one hit, and increase your price."

Tch, tch, Darsheel, take it easy, will you!

This top director wants to take darsheel as the lead role..I
guess 75 lacks is very less..Even if he is a kid, the amount
of work,'he'll be required is going to be the same as for an
adult..And i guess, an adult actor will demand more than
that...So his demand for 75 lacs is somewhat justified..

Ya,superstar rajnikant is one of highest paid actor in the
world. Darsheel will become one of highest paid child star
in the world.
talent man talent.

Hi darsheel, you are small rajnikant of indian cinema. Are you
happy?

Madh May 15, 2008 at 01:23 AM

It will create an unfair race of money among childrena d
youngsters.

inffact this child should not have been approached for
this.

Top director you call him? A person who just wants to cash
in on the little tiny creature's popularity. A loser he
seems to be. The reason is simple for darsheel's demand: he
has the bargaining power owing to his success and record
breaking performance in tzp. Movie making is a gamble. If
the director pays the kiddo a good amount and the movie is a
hit, he is the one who will earn much more than he would if
he ropes in someone else and the movie is a flop. Rather, he
should have the faith in himself as a director than relying
on a kid for a hit.
everyone is materialistic. Just that the director is
trying to be politically correct.

If you want him in your film then you have to pay price. On
giving hits like tzp its a director's job not only
actor's. If he is a top director he should dare to pay
him 75 lacks and get the best out of him again like aamir
did. But he just wants to encash darshil's popularity
otherwise he would have given even 100 lacks.

top director. Huh...
