Neha Uberoi getting engaged?

Neha Uberoi whose EMI released last Friday is getting engaged on December 31. A close pal of Neha revealed, "Neha is getting engaged to her boyfriend Vicky at a Goa resort on the New Year's Eve. It will be a private affair with both the families and their close friends being present. The marriage however may not happen soon."

We found out that the boy is not from the industry and is a Napeansea Road resident. He has been seen clubbing along with her and also working out together almost daily at a South Mumbai health club.

When contacted, Dharam Uberoi, Neha's father and also the business head of Sanjay Dutt's Production house, sounded surprised and denied this news. He stated, "I have booked a lot of rooms for Neha and her close friends in Goa but that's for them to enjoy the New Year's Eve." When asked further, he said, "Sanjay Dutt is like her Mama. He will be taking her of her marriage and would be the better person to ask about it."

Neha took a long pause to reply when asked about her engagement plans and then denied the news stating, "My career has just begun. How can I marry so soon? But yes I am going too Goa for the New Year's Eve."

Neha's first screen appearance was with Telugu film, Balu (2005) opposite Telugu star Pawan Kalyan. Her first Bollywood appearance was in Dus Kahaniyaan (2007) in the story Lovedale opposite Aftab Shivdasani. Her first main lead appearance however was opposite Sikander Kher in Woodstock Villa. EMI is her second film as a lead star. With all her films flopping, no kind a words of appreciation from any film quarters and no great offers on hand, may be perhaps she is doing the right thing by getting engaged.
