Nikhil Dwivedi in Mani Ratnam's next
He cropped his hair to fit the role of Laxman in Ravana
You lose some, you win some. According to the buzz, actor Nikhil Dwivedi had to crop his hair really short to get the much coveted role of Laxman in Mani Ratnam's film Ravana. The film stars Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in the lead.
Nikhil was asked to come down to Chennai for a screen test. But his hairstyle was a problem. Even though Nikhil was supposed to start shooting for Shivam Nair's film, he agreed to crop it just for 'Mani Sir'.
And guess what, Mani Ratnam liked the actor's new haircut and approved of him for the role. As they say, Mani can bring out the real star in an actor. We hope it holds true for Nikhil as well!
