Cricket is the only reason to live for Iqbal (Shreyas Talpade), who lives in a small village.... His little sister Khadija (Shweta Prasad) always encourages him whenever he is worried and upset. His father is strictly against the game. There is Mohit (Naseeruddin Shah), a village drunkard in whom Iqbal sees the only chance of victory. Mohit trains Iqbal in such a way that he is included in the Ranji Trophy team for Andhra Pradesh. After delivering excellently, many also want him to be in the Indian cricket team. But the famous local cricket coach named Guruji (Girish Karnad) wants his own boy named Kamal in the team and is going to any length to stop Iqbal from getting into the team. Does he succeed?

I think nagesh should stop the pretence of being a creative
maverick. The whole world knows that nagesh is a pseudo
creative plagariser and he tried to take away the credit of
vipul k rawal for iqbal, but the courts ruled in vipul's
favor. You too need to correct the credit for the writer of
iqbal to vipul.
